Malnutrition is not only about food
It's a complex interaction between the foods a child eats, their state of health, and the environment around them — and it's often rooted in poverty. Malnourished children frequently suffer vitamin and mineral deficiencies with serious effects on their health.

Aid alone doesn't solve it
Many food aid programmes don't target malnutrition directly. They rely on foods that don't contain what children actually need — relieving hunger, while still leaving them deprived of the nutrients required to grow into healthy adults.
